Wow! Life comes pretty fast. This blog is for anyone who wants to read and share, but mostly, it is for me.
You see, if I don't take the time to listen to God, how can I ever hear him. There is a job. There is family. There are friends, errands, commitments, activities and all of those carefully consume our time such that we never stop to listen.
This last week, my older brother by only 11 months, had a heart attack. That made me stop everything to hear of the details, contemplate whether I should travel to Ohio, how will he be long term, and a hundred other things. In the process of all of these thoughts, God showed me that it is time to slow down and pay attention to the important stuff.
Not work, taxes, new cars or any other distractions; but the important stuff.
So begins this forum. A place I can reflect upon my life and my spiritual journey.
So, from one of my favorite movies (Ferris Bueller's Day Off), I borrow the following line. "You see, life comes at you pretty fast. If you don't stop and take the time, you might miss it." However, I believe I have different meditations than Ferris. God Bless.
